Quest: Swimming with 10 Species of Dolphins and Whales in 100 days.

Every year we love to created new Quests for Wind Birds, this keep us entertained and moving forward our Business. Pushing the boundaries of ecotourism and making us prepared to the daily challenges.

For the 2010 Summer the Quest is related to Oceanodroma navigational range and stealth water approach, plus lots of fun. To swim with 10 species of marine mammals in 100 days off Madeira, starting Thursday, July 1 and finishing Saturday, October 9.

Below is the list of possible marine mammals and strike through the ones already succeed:

Atlantic Spotted dolphin Stenella frontalis (July 4;July 13) 
Common Bottlenose dolphin Tursiops truncatus (July 1)
Sperm whale Physeter macrocephalus (July 4)
Rough Toothed dolphin Steno bredanensis (August 18)
Bryde's Whale Balaenoptera edeni (August 27)
Fin whale Balaenoptera physalus (August 27)
Short-beaked Common dolphin Delphinus delphis (September 5) 

Short-finned Pilot whale Globicephala macrorhynchus ø
Blainville's Beaked whale Mesoplodon densirostris
