Madeira Wind Birds will be present at the British Birdwacthing Fair next weekend, 15th, 16th and 17th of August 2008, by Hugo Romano and Catarina Fagundes. We will not have a stand though we will make a lecture on Saturday at 3 pm in the Lecture Marquee 1, about Selvagens Islands.

This presentation aims to be an introduction to these Portuguese Islands where in the past hunting killed an average of 20,000 Cory’s Shearwaters annually, its history and natural value and what is being done for its conservation. “Selvagens Islands - a seabirds paradise!” do not miss this on Saturday!
